I see that the pre 911 ball has the world series logo with a baseball on top as opposed to the Rawling balls you can buy on line for $10, is that the differentiating characteristic that tells you which is the real ball used in the games? Please respond to unklmkey@aol.com, thank you very much

It was also a near perfect game. Charlie Hayes committed an error but Mulholland ended up picking off the runner. Hayes then redeemed himself by making a great grab of a line drive down the 3b line for the final out of the game. Mulholland ended up pitching to the minimum.

Very nice! I agree, color swatches are much better than grey or white. They may not be a stripe, but they’re the next best thing!

Yeah, I got a Frank Robinson like that (also Epic Materials) with a red swatch. It looked orange on eBay, but it’s VERY red in person, and from his days with Cleveland.

I agree with your thoughts on Goudey – too simple. Allen & Ginter is a great example of simple done right. I like the big headed cartoon cards, though – reminds me of early ’90s Score All-Stars.

I couldn’t tell you if it’s authentic or not, but assuming it is, to me, $30 is a great price for Sutton… especially on a ‘78 ball.
